Where is your faith?

By Pst. J.O Babatunde

In the months of June and July, 2022; our Theme was “In Jesus Christ, we are more than conquerors”, relying on God’s word in Romans 8:35-39.
It is however, important to stress that without a strong faith, you cannot live a life of a more than conqueror!
Why? Because Satan and its Agents will always bring fear and doubt into your mind, anytime you are waiting for the fulfillment of God’s promises to manifest in your life.

This is why you need to be strong in faith and never allow fear and doubt to continue robbing you of your blessings. Without faith, you cannot receive anything from God.

You have to live day by day in faith to be justified as written in Romans 1:17
“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith”.

You have to remain focused on the Lord, by trusting absolutely in Him and refusing to be moved by sight based on what you are seeing around, by what you are hearing around, by what others are doing, by the way others are behaving etc.
Walk only by faith and not by sight as written in 2 Corinthians 5:7
“For we walk by faith, not by sight”.
You want to live a life of victory, a life of a more than conqueror; then be a man or woman of great faith.
Let’s look at the way faith is defined according to the Bible in Hebrews 11 verse 1: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. Something you have not seen or received; but because God has made the promise, you just take it to your heart and believe it is doable!
And that’s why it is emphasized in Verse 6 of the same Hebrews chapter 11 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him”.

Lack of faith in many of us is making it appear as if the word of God is not working or fruitful according to Hebrews 4:2 “For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it”.
God’s word further stressed the importance of uncommon faith in James 1:6-8: “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways”.
My beloved reader of this publication, know for sure that the word of God is true. It will never return void to Him. It must accomplish the purpose for which it is sent as written in Isaiah 55:11 and Hebrews 6:18.
Isaiah 55:10-11 “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”.

And in Hebrews 6:18- “That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us”.
By two immutable or unchanging things, it is impossible for God to lie. Once He says a thing, He is able to bring it to pass, if we have faith in Him. That’s while it is written in Mark 9:23 “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth”.

Virtually all the miracles done by Jesus Christ as written in the Bible were faith driven. Often Jesus will ask who is seeking to be healed, do you have faith to be healed? Immediately the answer is in the affirmative, the healing takes place instantly!

We have profound examples as in the healing of the Centurion’s servant in Mathew 8:5-10 just by spoken word by Jesus; the case of the Woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-34; who had faith that by touching the helm of Jesus garment she will be made whole as well as the encounter of the blind Bartimaeus with Jesus in Mark 10:46-52; whom Jesus asked to go his way; that his faith has made him whole among several other notable miracles.
As it is written in Proverbs 23:18 “For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off”. As you walk in faith henceforth, I pray for all of you readers of this Peculiar message, your expectation shall not be cut off in Jesus mighty name. You will fulfill your purpose and destiny in Jesus mighty name.
